About
Welcome to PDRO KENYA, a survivor-led, community-based mental health organization nestled in Nakuru, Kenya.
As torchbearers of resilience, we bring forth vital and often marginalized perspectives, injecting fresh insights into the discourse surrounding mental health.
We offer personalized coaching to help individuals with lived experience craft and share their stories safely and impactfully for advocacy and healing.
Lived Experience Bureau
We connect organizations with trained mental health advocates who share personal stories and insights to enhance programs, research, and events.
WHO QualityRights Integration
We provide training and consulting to help organizations align mental health practices with international human rights standards.
To promote mental well-being, foster inclusive development, and strengthen community-based psychosocial response systems—especially in marginalized and underserved communities.
We center our work around the lived experiences of those most affected. By combining community-driven action, personal storytelling, and evidence-based frameworks, we ensure that our interventions are empathetic, empowering, and sustainable.
The first of its kind in the Global South, this network equips individuals with psychosocial disabilities to use their experiences for education, healing, and change.
Mental health is not just a medical issue—it’s a human rights, development, and community issue. At PDRO Kenya, we work at the intersection of lived experience, cultural relevance, and grassroots action to create psychosocial systems that are responsive, inclusive, and transformative.
